I’m the Supply Chain Management Process and Tools Manager at our composites site in Tallassee. My job is to create data software tools and processes that support procurement and supply chain make decisions on a daily basis. These tools influence the efficiency of a process in the supply chain.
My journey with GKN Aerospace started 3 years ago as a global graduate. It was a fantastic opportunity because I got to work in different parts of the business. My rotations ranged from HR – Talent Acquisition, Engineering in composites, and Engineering in metals. In addition to this I had abundant development weeks and various workshops with my cohort graduates. The focus was on developing our personal branding and a range of soft skills such as communication and building networks.
I’ve had opportunities to travel and visit many of our sites. My on-boarding was in Sweden and I also travelled to Orangeburg, USA for a development week. It was super fun and engaging!
Overall, the global graduate grogram was rewarding because it prepared me for my current role in supply chain. For the future I aspire to grow as a leader and continue to make an impact at GKN Aerospace.
Outside of work I enjoy playing soccer. I have a young son and I recently picked up woodwork as a hobby, so I can teach him a new skill. That gives me great satisfaction. I’m passionate about restoring and fixing things. I work on my car, and when the engine turns the sense of achievement is thrilling!
I believe GKN Aerospace is a great place to work because our people are cared for and their development is encouraged. For anyone who has an interest in our graduate program – I would say it’s great, take advantage of it. The opportunities here are limitless.
